Download free invoice templates in PDF, Word, and Excel. Or let our AI generate a complete, professional invoice in 10 seconds. No signup required.
Most freelancers have spent way too long staring at a blank document, trying to remember what goes where. Your business name goes on the left or the right? Do you need a purchase order number? Is there a standard invoice number format? And that's before you even get to the actual numbers.
Eonebill's free invoice templates solve the blank-page problem. Choose your format, download it, and fill it in. Or — if you want to go even faster — let the AI generate a complete, professional invoice for you in 10 seconds. No design skills required.
Choose the format that fits your workflow:
Best for: Sending to clients directly. PDF preserves your formatting and can't be accidentally edited.
Best for: Customizing the layout, adding your logo, or making structural changes. Works in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice.
Best for: Tracking line items with auto-calculating formulas. Works in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.
Here's the thing about templates: they're still blank. You still have to type everything in.
If you're billing clients regularly — even just a few times a month — that's hours per year spent filling out the same fields over and over. Your business info doesn't change. Your client's info doesn't change. The only thing that's different is the line items.
Eonebill's AI invoice generator fixes this. Describe what you need:
> "Invoice James Chen for 15 hours of backend development at $175/hr, due in 30 days via Stripe."
The AI generates the complete invoice — pulls your client from your saved contacts, applies your branding, adds your payment terms and Stripe link, calculates the total — everything. Ready to review and send in under 20 seconds.

How to use it: Download, open in Excel or Google Sheets. Each yellow-highlighted cell is an input field. Type in your line items and the totals calculate automatically. Duplicate the sheet for each new invoice.

Even the most beautifully designed invoice won't pay itself. Here's how to increase your payment speed:
1. Send it immediately after completing the work
The longer you wait to send an invoice, the more you get deprioritized. Send it the same day or the next morning.
2. Include a clear payment link
If you make it even slightly hard to pay, some clients will put it off. Always include a Stripe payment link or clear ACH instructions.
3. Name the file something professional
Don't email "invoice.pdf." Name it "[YourBusinessName]_Invoice_[Number]_[ClientName].pdf" so it's easy to find and match in their accounting system.
4. Send a short, friendly email
Don't just attach the invoice and hit send. A two-line note: "Hi [Name], attached is invoice [#] for [service]. Payment is due [date]. Let me know if you need anything else!" gets opened and paid significantly faster.
5. Follow up at the right time
Set a reminder for the due date. If you haven't been paid, follow up within 1–2 days of the due date — not 30 days later. The shorter the gap, the less awkward the conversation.
