Yes. Debit cards typically process at a lower rate than credit cards. Rewards/premium credit cards have higher fees due to interchange fees. International cards add 1.5%. Currency conversion adds 1% if the charge is in a different currency than the card.

You can qualify for Stripe's volume discounts at $80,000/month in volume (1.8% + $0.20) or $1,000,000/month (1.5% + $0.15). Using ACH bank transfers instead of cards costs just 0.8% (capped at $5). For subscriptions, Stripe's billing tools may offer better economics than per-transaction fees.
